The CRP Team values your satisfaction and we take pride in our quality products, which is why we have taken the time to test many cleaners and solvents in order to provide our customers with several cleaning solution recommendations based on our own trial and error.

Here is what we found:

CITRUS-BASED CLEANERS work well, but can leave a slightly oily residue on the EDC Fidget Spinner Bearing.

SOLVENTS are more dangerous to use, but often provide a more superior solution to cleaning dirty bearings. If you choose to use solvents, we recommend wearing latex gloves and working in an area that is well ventilated. Solvents we recommend are 99% IPA aka Isopropyl Alcohol (#1 recommended choice), Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Citrus Cleaner, and Denatured Alcohol. All of these can be found in the paint section of your local hardware store.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND: Petroleum-based products like; Paint Thinner, Gasoline, Kerosene, Lacquer Thinner, Turpentine or anything that contains Toluene. These solvents are not adequate cleaners and should not be used in our CRP EDC Fidget Spinner Bearing Cleaning Unit.

CRP primarily uses antirust materials such as aluminum, stainless, brass and ceramic. However, most manufactures use steel in their EDC Fidget Spinner-Bearing Assemblies, so whatever you choose to clean your product with make sure to dry your bearings as soon as possible to keep them from rusting.

When using the CRP EDC Fidget Spinner Bearing Cleaner Kit:

First remove the Buttons or Caps.

Place your spinner on the axle (metal rod). For best results make sure that the ball side of the bearing is facing down. Fasten the spinner down (finger tight) onto the axle using the wing nut.

Fill the EDC Fidget Spinner-Cleaning unit up about 1/4 of the way full with the cleaning solution of your choice and close the lid (latch all sides). Agitate the cleaning solution by shaking the container. Shake for about 30 seconds, open the lid and give the spinner a spin to free up any debris (depending on spinner size you may need to remove from shaft to complete this step). Close and latch the lid. Shake and repeat until you are satisfied with product cleanliness.

Remove the EDC Fidget Spinner from the axle and dry with a clean lint free towel. We also recommend blowing the bearings out with a can of compressed air, which can be found at any electronics or office supply store. Be careful when doing this, as you do not want the solvent to get in your eyes or on surrounding items. To better contain off-spray, blow bearings out over an old towel.

You’re now ready to reinstall your EDC Fidget Spinner buttons! If done properly you should no longer feel any grit and your spinner should be returned to its original performance.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE SOLVENTS: Please make sure to dispose of them properly. Most solvents have proper disposal instructions on the container. We encourage all to be environmentally friendly and dispose of cleaning agents in a responsible manner.
